Craig Foy Obituary

Craig Allen Foy was born October 16th, 1955, the son of Helen Patricia Foy (Horton) and Donald Parker. Later in life, when Craig and his brother Don were still young, they were adopted by the man they would come to know as their father, Helen Patricia’s new husband Stanton Eugene Foy. Craig grew up in Marysville, PA where he attended Marysville Elementary followed by Susquenita Middle and High School. As a child, he loved baseball and being outdoors. His friends say he would always get home from school and go right back out to take a walk in the woods and explore.

Fast forward to adulthood, Craig grew up to become an avid fisherman. He loved being out on the water in his boat just fishing the day away. Fun fact, the man was so stubborn and persistent about this hobby, that he ended up having a heat stroke once because he was out on the river too long in high temperatures. He even somehow managed to make it back to shore after having a heat stroke while he was out by himself, did I mention he was stubborn? In his younger adult years, Craig served in the Navy. This probably only increased his already highly skilled ways with the ladies, though they didn’t give him much credit after learning he was a loyal Cowboys fan.

Craig loved a lot of things, but out of anything, there were only a few things he loved most. Craig was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. His daughter Tabitha and (Nicole) Juris, 3-sons; Dustin Foy, Brandon Foy (Heather), and Brandon Barbush, grandkids; Hailey and JJ loved him dearly as did his 2- brothers Don (Stephine) Foy, and Douglas (Abby) Foy. He was preceded In death by his sister, Donna May. Craig also absolutely loved his cat, though the only person that cat seemed to love was Craig; Maybe that is why even though his name is Tigger, Craig called him Achmed the terrorist because he loves to terrorize everyone and everything he could. And finally, as you all know, Craig loved cooking, it was his life. He worked at Flinchy’s restaurant when they first opened as their very first Sous Chef, moving on to become the Head chef for almost 16 years. While at Flinchy’s he participated in The Soup Cook Off where he became famous for his Chili and soups. Thankfully, his memory will live on through Flinchy’s as they still use his famous chili recipe to date.

We will all miss Craig dearly; he was a great guy and an even better chef. He will never be forgotten. The celebration of life for Craig has been postponed until a later Date.
