William L. Sweger

William L. Sweger, 81, of Enola, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at UMPC Hospital of Altoona. Bill was the son of the late Maynard and Anna Murray Ott. Bill was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Harrisburg Community College, and Elizabethtown College receiving a degree in Accounting. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Bill retired as an Accountant with IBM. During Bill’s service time he became a military Dog trainer, which he continued after serving.  Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy and his children, Randy (Cheryl) Sheely, Randy (Donna) Sweger, Bill (Tammy) Sweger, Mark Sheely and Shawn Sheely, a brother Benjamin Sweger. He was preceded in death by a son Timothy Sweger, and Brian Sheely, a brother Paul Sweger, and a sister, Mary A. Murray. Services will be held Thursday March 28, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Richardson Funeral Home LLC 29 S. Enola Dr. Enola. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens 1921 Ritner Hwy. Carlisle.
