David J. Brooks, 54, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Harrisburg Hospital. David was an Army Veteran of the Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm. David was an avid Sci-Fi lover. Especially for Star Trek and Star Wars, a true tech geek in every way. He enjoyed spending time collecting Sci-Fi memorabilia, playing Star Trek online, buying the newest tech gear and listening to his vinyl albums. He believed vinyl was the best way to record and listen to music. He loved playing Roblox with his son Logan, debating politics with his wife Becky, and speaking to his son Addison on the phone. He was a devoted Indianapolis Colts fan. He was honored to have served his country in the U.S Army. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. David is survived by his wife, Rebecca A. (Dixon) Brooks, 2-Sons; Addison T. Brooks of Lebanon, Indiana, and Logan J. Brooks of Harrisburg, a-sister, Burnice J. Albus and husband William of Grantville, 4-Brothers; George A. Brooks Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee, Steven A. Brooks and wife Teresa of Dillsburg, Russell L. Brooks and wife Donna of Mechanicsburg, and Lloyd J. Brooks and wife Paula of Harrisburg, his Mother in-law and Father in-law; Barbara and Ronald Zeiders of Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; George A. and Janet E. Brooks Sr. A memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the Richardson Funeral Home, Enola. A visitation will be held at 10:30 AM until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Belco Community Credit Union, 5785 Allentown Blvd, Harrisburg, PA 17112 in care of Logan J. Brooks.
