Elisabeth J. Beaver

Elisabeth Jane Beaver, age 88, formerly of Enola, passed away on Friday, September 13th at the Church of God in Carlisle, PA. Jane was born August 23, 1931 in Danville, PA to the late Charles A. and Mary A. (Engel) Mensch. Jane was married for 54 years to the late Donald G. Beaver, Sr., who proceeded her in death in 2014.

Jane graduated from Mifflinburg High School in 1949 and attended Bloomsburg State University. She was a devoted wife and mother who not only enjoyed raising her four children, but also taking care of others, especially Jere and Tristan Greiner. She had a longtime passion for flea markets and her beloved cats and dogs as well as Penn State football and Senators baseball. She was a long-time member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School in the nursery.

Jane is survived by her four children and one grandson: Joanne and her husband Sherman Thurston of Mechanicsburg; Donald, Jr., his wife Tricia (Morrow), and their son Andrew of Marysville; David of Enola; and Karen Wiley and her husband Mark of Mechanicsburg as well as two sisters Mary Anne Fryer (Phillip) of Texas; Linda Mensch of Mifflinburg, and one brother Charles (Karen) Mensch also of Mifflinburg as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 10th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Richardson Funeral Home at 29 S. Enola Drive in Enola. Burial will be in Mifflinburg Cemetery in Mifflinburg, PA on Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 AM.
