Molly Schocko Obituary

On April 24, 2018, Molly J. Schocko of Enola left her family to begin her journey to another good place.  It was on March 30, 1990, that Molly entered the world of her parents, Susan M. and Stephen J. Schocko.  For the next 28 years and 25 days, Molly, Sue and Steve were inseparable.

During her time here, Molly benefited from the kindness of literally hundreds of professional caregivers, relatives and friends.  She was the center of her grandmother Janet Belmont’s life, as well as that of her aunt Maryann Serfass, her father’s sister.  Janet and Maryann have already welcomed her into the next stage of life.  In addition to her incredible parents, Molly leaves behind her uncle Larry Belmont, her aunt Alice (Ward) Belmont, her aunt Nancy (Miller) Monteleone, numerous cousins, and many friends made in social settings.  Among those settings we wish to thank The Easter Seals Society, Capital Area Intermediate Unit, Goodwill, United Cerebral Palsy Alternatives, and Cumberland County MH.IDD.  Molly received a lifetime of care from many wonderful healthcare professionals in central Pennsylvania including the former Polyclinic Hospital, Pinnacle Health Systems, Lancaster General Health Systems, Penn State Hershey Medical System and Celtic Hospice.  We especially recognize the support of Dr. Stacy Hess, Dr. Steven Gottlieb, Dr. Denise Telford-Wren, the Kearns & Ashby Dental practice, and her service coordinator Joshua Miske.

During her life, Molly enjoyed travelling with her parents, baseball games, Wheel of Fortune, and swimming with her parents.  And, like any young lady, lots of “bling” (some crafted by her Aunt).

The world is a much quieter and somber place without her wonderful presence.  Her next stop on the journey will be near her grandmother Janet and Aunt Maryann at Resurrection Cemetery. Funeral service will be held on April 28, 2018 at 11:00 Am in the Richardson Funeral Home, Enola. A viewing will be held from 10:00 Am until time of service at the Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to United Cerebral Palsy Alternatives, 925 Linda Lane, Camp Hill, PA 17011
