Romaine G. Ansell

Romaine G. Ansell, 89, passed away, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at her home in Summerdale. She was born July 16, 1928 
in East Waterford, PA to late J. Harvey and Evelyn Gilliland. Romaine was married on October 5, 1949 in Bethesda, Maryland  
to Donald M. Ansell, a Career Army Veteran. Romaine was a resident from the early 1950's of Summerdale, PA, maintaining
a home on Railroad Avenue, until the state purchased there property and many others for the construction of interstate 81. Don
and Roman purchased The Kauffman property after his retirement from the Military and lived there until his passing in May of 
2005, but Romaine continued to resided there until her passing on Sunday. This now ends a long journey of life and so many
accomplishments from a life style of family, military living, and also achieving a career with Giant Foods as a meat wrapper and
training so many people. She enjoyed the conversation with the people in the meat department. Earlier in her life she worked for
the state of PA.
Serviving are her children; James Ansell, Robert Ansell, and Donna  Ellenberger, four Grandchildren; James Ansell, Donald Ellenberger,
Brian Ansell, four Great-Grandchildren: Ashley, Alexis, Haylee, and Bethany Ansell, a sister, Hazel Agnes Gilliland, and numerous 
Nieces and Nephews. a viewing will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in the Richardson Funeral home, Enola.
funeral services will follow at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in East
Waterford Cemetery, East Waterford, PA.
