Terry L. Wealand, 75, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Harrisburg. Terry was born on September 21, 1943 in Royalton.
He graduated from Middletown Area High School in 1962. He retired from American Steel and Aluminum after 38 years. He had spent 40 years working as the treasurer and secretary of the Rescue Hose Company of Middletown, and he worked with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, Troop 112, Middletown. Terry was a member of the NRA, Middletown Anglers and Hunters, and the Rescue Fireman’s Home Association. He was a supporter of the National Geographic for 54 years and loved animals all his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, H. Claude and Catherine Wealand, infant brother, Claude, sister, Mildred Neidinger, sister, Peggy Enney, and son, Richard Wealand.
Terry is survived by his wife, Rebecca Wealand, son, Terry Douglas Wealand, daughters-in-law Brooke Wealand and Susan Wealand, grandchildren, Paige, Jacob, Faith, Emily, and Holly Wealand, as well as his siblings, Katherine Fies,Robert Wealand, Renee Byers, Donna Henry, and Kay Wealand. He is also survived by his furry pet, Ginger.
Funeral arrangements are made through Richardson Funeral home. Services will be held at New Beginnings Church, 630 S. Union St., Middletown, on Friday, August 16. Visitation with family begins at 10:00 and services will begin at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry’s memory to St. Jude’s or the Shriner Foundation.
