Tom Cooker, 70, of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019
peacefully at his home, after a long battle with a rare Neurological
Disease CBGD (Corticobasal Ganglionic Degeneration). Tom was an avid Golfer, he enjoyed
music, camping, travel and the Philadelphia Eagles. Tom was an antique car enthusiast, where he was a member of the Antique Auto Club of America, and the Austin-Healey
Sports and Touring Club. Tom was an Army Veteran, and member of the
Linglestown American Legion Post 272. His Greatest love was being a Poppie to his 7-Grandchildren, with the 8th on the way.
Tom was employed by M. Brenner & Sons for 22 years as a Sales Manager, then
he worked for Cooper Booth Wholesale Co. until his retirement. Tom is survived
by his wife Brenda J. (Corty) Cooker of 48 years, His daughter, Jamie M. Ayers,
(Mark) of Dillsburg, a son, Jason T. Cooker, (Kristin) of Harrisburg, 7-Grandchildren;
Emma M. Ayers, Jacob T. Ayers, Annley J. Ayers, Moges M. Ayers, Lily B. Cooker,
Ella R. Cooker, and Charlie T. Cooker, 2-brothers; William W. Cooker Jr. of Harrisburg,
and John E. Cooker of Pahrump, Nevada. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM
Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Progress Church of God, 3424 Old Orchard Road, Harrisburg,
PA 17109. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of services Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA. In Lieu of Flowers
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road Harrisburg, PA 17110.
