Charles B. Welshans

Charles Bruce Welshans, 89, of Oval, PA., passed away Thursday May 18, 2023. He was a member of Nippinose Valley volunteer Fire Company for 30 years and loved going to tractor pulls to watch the Farmall Tractors kick John Deer’s butt.  He loved Nascar and Penn State Football. He loved his wife of soon to be 62 years. He loved word working and his wife Eleanor would paint the finished product. He has been very blessed with wonderful friends and neighbors that always looked after him and his beloved wife. He was the son of the late Torrence and Margaret Welshans. He is survived by his wife Eleanor (Grieb) Welshans, a daughter Christine and spouse Scott Alan Morgan of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by a daughter Deanna M. Welshans, brother’s Barney and William Welshans and  sister’s  Ruth Ann Devine and Nelda Gay. Services will be held in the church Charles and Eleanor were married in on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Oval Church 6796 S. Route 44.Hwy Jersey Shore, PA., 17740. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service in the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nippenose Valley volunteer Fire Company at 4453 Pine Mountain Rd. Jersey Shore, PA 17740. A donation box for the fire Company will also be available at the church.
