Clyde Edgar Metz

Clyde Edgar Metz of Mechanicsburg, PA (originally of Loysville, PA) passed peacefully June 28, 2022 at his daughter’s home. Clyde was the son of the late Carl (Dutch) J. and Helen Rhoda (Carr) Metz. Clyde was a graduate of Green Park Union High School class of 1957, Elliottsburg, PA. Clyde was an army Veteran, trained at Fort Knox and stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He was employed as an Ordering and Planning Manager for 18 years at Ralston Purina, Shiremanstown, PA. After Ralston he went to work for McKesson Medical Supply, as a driver and enjoyed the time meeting people and making their acquaintance. He was survived by his wife Barbara (Palmer) Metz of 52 years, until her death in 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Dee Metz of Mechanicsburg, PA, 2-Grandchildren; Kareston Eve Markley and her husband Zach Day and Madison Rose Markley of Carlisle and 1-Great Grandchild- Myles Morty Markley of San Diego, CA; Visitation will be held on July 8, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. At his church, Tressler Memorial Free Lutheran Church 3581 Shermans Valley Rd. Loysville, PA 17047.Burial will be held at the Restland Cemetery Loysville following the service with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Of Central PA at 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 - in memory of Clyde Metz.
