Constance D. Shover

Constance D. (Downey) Shover, 83, of Enola, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021

at her home. Connie was the daughter of the late Maurice W. and Hilda W. (Wagner)

Downey. She was a graduate of Enola High School Class of 1955, she furthered her education at

Shippensburg  University  where she received a BS in Communications. In Connie’s younger days she worked as a Librarians aide for the East Pennsboro School District. Connie was a retired Director of

the Alzheimer’s unit at Manor Care of Harrisburg, she was a tour Director and Planner for Rohrer Bus,

and served in management for the YWCA. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist

Church Enola, where she was a member of its Choir, and also was the former Choir director for 22 years.

She was a member of the Cumberland Singers performing at many indoor events. Connie enjoyed,

traveling, theater, music  and trips to Myrtle Beach and New York City. Connie is survived by her

husband, Paul T. (Chub) Shover, her son, Brian D. Shover and wife Pamela A. of Bedford, Texas,

two Grandchildren; Matthew P. Shover and companion Jessica Deal of Philadelphia, and Brian A. Shover

and wife Molly of Bedford Texas, and one Great-Grandchild, Jace Shover.  She was preceded in death by her half sister, Eleanor Jane Miller.

Funeral services will be held, at 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 8, 2021 in the Richardson Funeral

Home LLC, Enola. A visitation will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home until time of

services.  Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Emmanuel United Methodist Church 22 Salt Rd. Enola, PA 17025 or Homeland At Home ,Hospice  2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
