He spoke highly of Mr. Greg String, Mr. Kenneth Williams (supervisor), and Mr. Randell Melhorn (coworker). At their work site, Kenneth, Randell, and David referred to themselves as the Three Musketeers. David enjoyed his time and work at the String company. David enjoyed being outdoors. He hunted for several years with Grandpa Miller, Uncle Herman, and the College cousins. There is no record of David’s ever shooting a deer. He was an experienced fisherman. He liked to take his little sisters and later his nephews out on the Susquehanna River in his “john” boat. He was always patient and never yelled when lines were snagged or lures were lost. Catching fish was not the prime objective. Being out on the river made David happy. Memorials may be made to a environmental group or a nature conservancy.
