Doris Jean Nutter

Doris Jean Nutter, 87, of Enola, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
Jean was a graduate of Biglerville High School. Jean was an employee at the East Pennsboro Middle School, and worked for the State of Pennsylvania. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Enola. She was a Cub Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and
a mother to all the Kids from the neighborhood. Jean love to sing her favorite song, " I Love You A Bushel and a Peck and a Hug around the Neck".  She was the wife of Curtis Lee Nutter Sr. of 55 years until his passing in 2007. Surviving are her three sons; Donald Nutter, wife Maryann, Russell Nutter, wife Michelle, Michael Nutter, wife Jennifer, a daughter, Cheryl Nutter Schlosser Stiffler, Husband Gregory,
11-Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, one living sibling, sister, Gerry Pirtle, of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her son, Staff Sergeant, Curtis L. Nutter Jr., daughter, Donna Nutter Gingrich, three sisters; Dorothy Charles, Peg Slothour, baby Mary Shaffer, four brothers; Donald
Shafer, Ross Shafer, Harold Shafer, and Bill Shafer. she loved dale Earnhardt, and Penn State Football Games. The Nutter family would like to thank the Staff of Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home of Carlisle for taking care of their mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Enola. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services
Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 22 salt Road Enola, PA 17025.
