Duane O. Jumper

Duane O. Jumper Sr., 80, of Mechanicsburg passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his home

With his family by his side. Duane was the son of the late Meiley and Ruth (Hock) Jumper. Duane was a

retired Carpenter with the Carpenters  Union 287 Harrisburg. Duane was one who thoroughly loved his

job of 50 years until the day he retired.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299 Carlisle, and was a

member of the Mechanicsburg Club until later in his life. He was an avid NASCAR and Dirt Track racing fan, and enjoyed watching the ID Channel. He is survived by his wife Betty E. (Shope) Jumper for 

59 years, his children; Shawna Hemperly and husband Michael, Duane O. Jumper Jr., Lorne Jumper,

and  Celeste Reese and husband James, seven Grandchildren; Michael, Jason, Amanda, Falina, Travis,

Tyler  and wife, Kristin, and Jarrett , a brother, Miley (Jake) Jumper, four sisters; Charlotte Killinger,

Bonnie McKee, Twila Stacher, and Debbie Jumper, nine Great-Grandchildren; Ashlyn, Makayla, Isaiah,

Jada,  Mya, Austin,Ella, Riley, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Willmot, Barry, Gary,

Lee,  Dean.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Richardson Funeral

Home LLC Enola. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services Thursday at the funeral

home. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
