Ernest Niles Dimeler, 88 of Dauphin and formerly of Youngsville, NC passed away January 16, 2023. Ernest was born December 27, 1934 to the late Herman R. Dimeler and Dorothy E. (Capp) Dimeler in Speeceville, PA. Ernie lived in Youngsville, NC for years before his recent move back to PA in which time there he had many friends he loved. Ernest served in the ARMY and retired from the PA National Guard and also the Chromalloy Corporation. He attended Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forrest and belonged to The Masonic Lodge in Granville Co he was also a member of the American Legion in Franklinton and the local Shrine Club, he also was a member of the following PA organizations, Tall Cedars, Upper Dauphin Shriners Club and Masonic Order Perseverance Lodge 23. Ernie was preceded in death by his wife Jean H. Dimeler of 53 years who passed away January 27, 2012. He is survived by his children, Tracy Dimeler of Dauphin, Jeff Dimeler (Nicole) of Mifflinburg, Kimberly Dimeler (Rich) Niemi of Youngsville, NC, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, his brother’s Neil (Nancy) Dimeler and Merle (Evelyn) Dimeler and many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother’s, Russ and Knute Dimeler, his sister’s Dorothy and Dolores. Services will be held Saturday January 28, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Dauphin 301 Market St. Dauphin, PA 17018. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital at donate.loveto therescue.org or Shriners Children’s Corporate Headquarters 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607. Burial will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
