Franz Josef Jansen Sr, of Enola and formerly of Castle Rock, Colorado, Spring Hill, Florida and lastly with son Franz in Middlesex Township, Carlisle, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022. Franz (Joe) Jansen Sr. was born March 16, 1935 in Koln (Cologne), Germany to the late Franz and Anna (Klauer) Jansen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, loved spending time with his wife Joanne Elizabeth (Shaver) Jansen traveling around the country to see their family until her passing in 2014. He is survived by his son Franz Josef Jansen and wife Rhonda of Middlesex Twp. His Granddaughter, Nicole Fry of Summerdale, his Great Grand Children; Nariah Fry, Jordynn Fry, Jaelynn Fry and Bryce Fry, and his Sister, Helga Vucenic, of Harrisburg and step-daughter in-law Sherry Kimmel of San Antonio, TX. Franz was preceded in death by his two Step-Sons, Joseph Henry Kimmel and Michael Earl Kimmel. Joe’s Hobbies included – Flat Shoe Motorcycle Racer, Amateur HAMM Radio Operator, Fixing electronic equipment (Joe's TV Service in Enola 1967-1983) and racing homing pigeons at the Harrisburg Pigeon Club. Joe retired as Superintendent at Denver Brick Corporation in Castle Rock, Colorado. Services will be private at the request of his family.
