Hortencia Barninger

Hortencia Barninger, 88, formerly of Enola, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, PA. Hortencia was born in Texas and was the daughter of the late Julio and Sapopa (Sanchez) Castillo. She was a Graduate of Eagle Pass High School in Texas. Hortencia was a retired employee for the Commonwealth of PA.  She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. She enjoyed sewing, making clothing for her children, and also clothing for her Doll collection. She was a collector of Figurines.  Hortencia was an avid Ballroom Dancer in her earlier high school  years and she was a  world traveler. Hortencia was the widow of Wayne E. Barninger. She is survived by her children; J. Michael (Joanne) Barninger of Enola, and Cynthia A. (Brian) Olinger of Camp Hill,Grandchildren; Krystal Updegrove, Brandon Olinger, Kaylee Olinger,  Zachary Barninger, Bryan (Kelsey) Barninger, Mikayla Barninger and Great-Grandchildren; Nova Schaffner and William Barninger. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Richardson Funeral Home, Enola. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Road Enola PA. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon, PA.
