Howard M. (PAP) Noss, 98, formally of Carlisle, the son of the late W. Scott and Fannie Basehore Noss, passed away, Saturday, September 26, 2020 in Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg. Howard was an ARMY veteran of World War II who served two tours and was awarded three Bronze stars. He was the widower of Helen A. Noss to whom he was married to for 51 years before her passing in 2015. Howard was a retired carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 287 of Harrisburg for 73 years. He attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Mechanicsburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening but most of all loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his children: Deanna Boyanowski (Kenneth) of Mechanicsburg, Adrienne Kaercher (David) of Etters, Donald Hall (Michiko) of Maryland and Gayle George( Richard) of Mechanicsburg, 7 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be held, Friday October 2, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Emmanuel Baptist Church 4681 East Trindle Rd. Mechanicsburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery 6839 Wertzville Rd., Enola. The family would like to thank the staff at Messiah Lifeways for their kindness and care while Howard resided there.
