Janelle L. Hersh

Janelle L. Jackson Hersh, 59, of Summerdale, unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 11th, 2020 at her home. She is survived by her parents, Lloyd "Jim" and M. Jane Jackson; her sister and brother-in-law, Joni and Ardon Beahm; niece Jennifer (Dave) McCorkle; nephews Nathan (Sherry) Beahm, Gareth (Ja'net) Hersh, and Guido Schiavoni; former husband and life-long best friend, Daniel Hersh;  and 6 great-nieces and nephews: Christopher, Ian, Dakota, Katelyn, Elaine and David. She was preceded in death by her fiance Monte Baker. Janelle was an accomplished pianist, organist, flutist, and singer. She graduated from East Pennsboro HS and attended HACC for music. While in high school, she played keyboard and piano for the Jazz Band, Chorus and HS musicals. She continued to play for their musicals for many years afterward under the direction of Nate Ward. Janelle worked for American Cancer Society, McNees Wallace & Nurik, and most recently at Vibra Healthcare as a para-legal. Throughout her life, Janelle was a pianist/organist/soprano for Summerdale United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She often played for Oyster Mill Playhouse, Hershey Theater,  Keystone Capital Chorus, parties, local churches, and weddings. Her love for God, her family, her close friends and her cats was just as strong as her love for music! Her laughter, kindness and love will be terribly missed by all.Donations in her memory can be made to pabreastcancer.org or an animal rescue or shelter of your choice.Burial will be at the family's convenience due to Covid restriction's.Services will be held at Summerdale United Methodist Church once restrictions are lifted.
