Janet L. Cole

Janet L. Cole, 81, formerly of Bethany Beach, DE., Passed away, Saturday, December 26, 2020 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle. Janet was the daughter to the late Russell F. Miller and Mary J. Cramer Miller. Janet graduated from Hereford High School MD class of 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband Col. Rev. Dr. Calvin H. Cole Sr., her sister Patricia Miller and sons, Rusty, Keven, and Calvin Jr., she is survived by her sister’s; Judith M. Holden and husband, Pamela J. Wilson and husband, a brother, Russell D. Miller and wife, a son, Richard C. Cole and husband, a daughter, Kimberly S. Cole Konstanzer, 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Aside to serving as First Lady for many churches during her life, she had the pleasure of being First Lady to Trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland, Grace United Methodist Church on State St., Hbg, and Messiah United Methodist Church in York and wife of District Superintendent for the Central, PA. Confer. , during  those years she worked as a bookkeeper for CCNB Bank in New Cumberland, taught Remedial Reading at Hill Side Elementary School in New Cumberland and service Supervisor for JC Penny in Hbg. She enjoyed hosting dinner parties for their Church family and friends and family at their parsonages they were at over the many wonder years. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, reading and spending time with her family, Grandchildren and friends. Due to Covid-19 a private service and burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
