John R. Feirrell

John R. (Jack) Feirrell, 93, of Enola, PA and formerly of South Bend Indiana, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 in Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle, PA. John was the son of the late Clem and Margaret Feirrell. John was a graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School class of 1945, South Bend, Indiana. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the GHQ for General MacArthur. After John’s service for his country, he went on to receive his B.A. in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington. John retired as an Administrative Assistant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, of Harrisburg, PA. John was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola, PA. He was a member of Enola American Legion Post # 751, and the Rutherford VFW Post #1213, Harrisburg, PA. He is survived by eight children; Charles R. Feirrell (Annette) of South Bend, Indiana, William R. Feirrell of Enola, PA, Daniel R. Feirrell (Debra) of Harrisburg, PA, Ann Marie Vanarsdale (Bruce)   of South Bend, Indiana, Margaret L. Jones of Harrisburg, PA, Mary M. Schaeffer (Brad) of Newport, PA, Heather J. Hayes (Stephen) of Harrisburg, PA, Rita Feirrell of South Bend, Indiana, Twelve Grandchildren, and fourteen Great-Grandchildren. John was preceded in death by a son, James R. Feirrell, a sister, Mary Ann Panowicz and a half sister Barbara Dehaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 7, 2022 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 225 Salt Road Enola, PA 17025. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of the Mass Monday at the Church. Burial will be In Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA.
