Kraig S. Garland

Kraig S. Garland, 66, of York Haven, PA, passed away December 6, 2020, in Holy Spirit Hospital after a long, courageous battle with MDS. Kraig was a 1973 graduate of East Pennsboro High School and retired from Arcelor Mittal after 42 years. Kraig’s passions were driving, riding dirt bikes with his friends and racing go carts and dirt bikes with his sons. He was an avid Motocross, NASCAR and Penn State fan. Kraig is survived and loved by his wife, Brenda Troutman-Garland; his children, Jill (Chris) Buysse of Downingtown, PA and Michael Garland of Harrisburg, PA; stepchildren, Justin Wahl of San Diego, CA, Eric Beshore of New Cumberland, PA and Danielle (Joe) Beshore of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Tristan Hummel, Coltyn Garland, and Jude and Lila Buysse; step grandchildren, Madelyn, Allyson, Casey and Carly Wahl, Hunter and Lilly Beshore, Ava, Henry, Gabrielle and Elias Dmitrovic; brothers, Kim Garland of Atlantic City, NJ, Rob (Chevonne) Robison of Yorklyn, DE and Scott Ward of Ocean City, NJ; sisters-in-law, Ruby (John) Rohrbaugh of Middletown, VA, Susan Rook of Beaverton, OR and Cindy Keefer of Summerdale, PA; his lifelong friends, Jeff and Beth Mohn, Paul and Lisa Gill, Ed and Anita Rice, Charlie Leonard, Bill and Robin Selle, and Ron and Barb Crandy; and his dog, Vern, who he loved dearly.  Kraig was preceded in death by his father, Richard Garland, his mother, Shirley (Sansom) Ward, his son, Deryk Garland and his step grandson, Parker Dmitrovic.  Memorial contributions may be made to the MDS Foundation at www.mds-foundation.org.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
