Marilyn Ellen (Thomas) Striano, 71, of Mechanicsburg peacefully went to Heaven on Monday, July 27, 2020. Marilyn was the loving daughter of the late Dr. Chester G. and Charlotte L. (Wagner) Thomas. Marilyn was born in Philadelphia on September 27, 1948. Marilyn was a 1969 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill, where she was an accomplished athlete and the former Central Penn Business School, Enola. Marilyn was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg as well The Columbiettes Women’s Auxiliary. Marilyn was a former Secretary for The Governors Office at The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Marilyn lovingly volunteered for Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for over ten years. Marilyn enjoyed crafting, cruising, her dog, traveling and the ocean. Marilyn was the widow of Carmine J. Striano Jr. Marilyn leaves behind her greatest blessings, her son, James (Jamie) Devito and his loving wife Rochelle of Harrisburg, her Grandchildren; Seth Cain of Florida, Haylee DeVito, Brett, David and Luke Marquart, all from Harrisburg and her brother, Greg Thomas (Katie) of Newville. Marilyn asked that in lieu of flowers or other donations to please make Memorial contributions to locally owned Grane Hospice, 1010 Plymouth Road Suite D, York, PA. 17402, The kindness and respect of these Angels on Earth helped make her journey to Heaven much brighter. Private Services will be held by her Family.
