Michael F. Bobitz, 91, of Enola, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 in Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg. Michael retired from Harrisburg Steel and served in the Army during the Korean War Conflict. Michael was a devout member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. He was very active in the church, participating in many activities including special ministries. He was a man of many talents. But most will remember him as a great guy, wonderful, always kind, sweet, thoughtful and respectful. He enjoyed bowling, working with wood and art. He was an avid football and sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Penn State. But most of all his greatest love was his family. Michael was the beloved husband to the late Laura M. (Wells) Bobitz of 55 years. He is survived by daughters; Michele (Marlin) Vogelsong, of Enola, Laura (Brian) Smith of New Cumberland, 5 grandchildren: Tony, Adam, Troy, Alison and Jason, 4 great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Caleb, Holden and Penelope and also twin brother Jacob Bobitz. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Enola, 225 Salt Rd. A viewing will be held from 8:30am till 9:45am Saturday in the Richardson Funeral Home 29 S. Enola Dr. Enola. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
