Nancy Kyle Obituary

Nancy Louise Kyle, 91, passed away on October 25, 2020 in the presence of her loving family. She was born October 14, 1929 in Reading, PA, to Robert and Mary Ada Dunkelberger and was a graduate of Wyomissing High School, class of ‘47.  She attended Shippensburg State Teachers College earning her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 1951, and was active in tennis and synchronized swimming. She loved sports; golf, tennis, football and baseball, being a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox baseball and Penn State football teams as well as tennis pro Roger Federer.

Wife of the late Vance H. Kyle, married in June 1951, lasting 51 years until his death. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved being with her family, including Stone Harbor vacations and making her homemade applesauce. Her interests included reading, word searches, playing and singing at the piano, participating in bridge clubs and line dancing.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gethen Vogt. She is survived by her two daughters: Sandra K. Bogdan, wife of Brian Bogdan, and Gethen K. Wilson, wife of William Wilson, along with five grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Anna, Megan, and Evan, and five great-grandchildren, Jessy, Noah, Graham, Zoey, and Khloe who remember her affectionately as Sache/Gram.  Internment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
