Ray R. Strayer

Ray R. Strayer, 86 of Lewisberry passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. Ray was born September 17, 1936 in Seidle Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA, to the late Herndon and Bernice Strayer. Ray was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School class of 1954, and served in the Army National Guard. Ray retired from Stephenson Equipment as a field service manager and was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Lewisberry. Ray enjoyed fishing, travel with his wife, and playing with his Grand and Great-Grandchildren. Most important, he was most happy when his whole family came home together. Ray was a life member of the Enola Sportsmen’s Association, and past President and life member of the West Shore Sportsmen’s Association. Ray was a loving husband and father. He was married to Roberta L. (Winter) Strayer for 65 years until her passing August 30, 2021. He is survived by his children, R. Keith and Sue, of Mechanicsburg, Kent E. and Tammy of Enola, Jeffrey S. and Doreen of Etters, Tracey L. and the late Christopher Weiss of Mechanicsburg and Heather L. and  Randy Otstot of Enola, his sister Nancy Weibly, his sister-in-law, Margaret Brubaker,13-grandchildren and 9-great–grandchildren and 13 Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Rosella House, Anna Lee Ritchie, Donna Parks, Faye Parks and Winnafred Kovacevic. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in the Richardson Funeral Home Enola. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
