Robert William Hatten (Bob), age 69, of Enola, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2021. He was born on December 25, 1951 in Coco Solo, Panama to Earl and Rebecca Hatten. Bob is survived by his son Bryan and his wife, Eileen, and their son, Declan, of Chalfont, and his son Todd and his wife, Karli, and their sons, Theodore and Palmer, of Enola. He is also survived by his companion, Patricia Mitchell, of Mechanicsburg, his former wife, Patricia Gibson Hatten, of Enola, and his aunt, Edie Hatten, of McAlisterville. Bob graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School in 1969, but also attended West Perry High School and maintained many friendships from his school days. Bob worked for Conrail, The Summerdale Ambulance Company as an EMT, and he finished his career as Facility Maintenance Manager at Fort Indiantown Gap, from which he retired in 2017. He was also an active member of EPLW Soccer League, where he was the treasurer for many years, and enjoyed being involved in his community. In his retirement, Bob took pleasure in traveling internationally, visiting historical sites, and enjoyed attending auctions and bidding up the price just because. He was certainly well known for his stories, his humor, and his quirky sayings, such as, “Good morning,” no matter the time of day. He was there for anyone who needed him at the drop of a hat and was able to fix just about anything. Bob was very proud of his two sons and cherished making memories with his three grandsons who affectionately called him “Pap-Pap” and “Bob-Bob,” and were his pride and joy. Bob was certainly quite the character who will be missed greatly by all who had the honor of knowing him. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday June 12, 2021 at the Enola Sportsman's Club Pavilion, 290 Pine Hill Road Ext, Enola, PA 17025, to pay tribute to such a well-loved man. Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to Northeast Fire & Rescue Company, 202 3rd Street, Summerdale, PA 17093 or East Pennsboro Emergency Medical Services, 750 S. Humer Street, Enola, PA 17025.
