Roberta L. Strayer

Roberta L (Winter) Strayer, 82, of Lewisberry, passed away, Monday, August 30, 2021. Roberta was born January 19, 1939 to the late Robert Dice Winter and Euleta Louise (Baumgardner) Winter. Roberta was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Amaranth, Cedarettes of Tall Cedars, White Shrine ESA Ladies Auxiliary and Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Lewisberry. Roberta is survived by her sister, Margaret (Winter) Brubaker, of Germfask Michigan, her husband Ray R Strayer of Lewisberry and their children: R. Keith and Sue, of Mechanicsburg, Kent E. and Tammy, of Enola, Jeffrey S. and Doreen, of Etters, the late Christopher R. and Tracey L Weiss of Mechanicsburg, and Randall J and Heather L Otstot of Enola. In addition to her children, Roberta is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  She loved her family fiercely and rarely missed the things her grandkids had going on. She loved for her family to come and visit and almost always had cookies, whether they were homemade or store bought.  She fervently prayed for her family and others and loved all things angels, cardinals and Father Christmas. You were always welcome at her house and were greeted with an excited hello and the biggest hugs even if you were a stranger.  Roberta was a mother, a grandmother, an Aunt, a sister, wife and loyal friend and she was a woman who practiced being all there wherever ‘there’ was.  She will continue to be a light to all those fortunate enough to have known her and her beautiful soul.  A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the Enola Sportsman’s Club 290 Pine Hill Rd. Ext. Enola 17025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm at the club.
