Ronald Rostalski Obituary

(Retired) Captain Ronald A Rostalski Sr. of the Pennsylvania State Police passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Born in Blakely, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1938 son of Albin Rostalski and Edna Mary (Mazza) Ron has a brother Eugene Rostalski and wife Geri, a sister Janice Kropa Rostalski and husband Walter
Ron married Gale (Goodrich) Rostalski, April 6, 1963 and celebrated a wonderful 60 years. He has three children, Mary Ellen Brown and husband, Robbie, Danielle Brier, and Ronald Junior with partner Kelly Smith. Grandchildren, Becky Karns, husband Evan, Robert Brown Jr, and wife, Kathleen, Adrienne Losh and husband, Justin, and Caroline Straub, McCartney and Isabella Rostalski,  great grandchildren Henry and Benjamin Losh, Everly Karns, and several nieces and nephews.
Ron enlisted in the Pennsylvania State police September 16, 1965. After basic training he was assigned to troop K Philadelphia and to the Academy in Hershey Pennsylvania before being transferred to department headquarters in Harrisburg. He holds a bachelors degree in police science and corrections from York College, York, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Northwestern University Institute, Evanston, Illinois. Prior to joining the State Police Ron served two years with the US Army 716th military battalion
Ron was athletic and loved playing baseball in his youth softball during his years with the state police as well as being an avid bowler. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ron also was a world traveler with the love of his life and traveling companion, Gale, a love for animals especially dogs and horses. His hands were strong but yet gentle, creating some beautiful flower arrangements and bows where he received most of his experience at Creedon’s flower shop in Scranton, PA.
Ron enjoyed his “pool time” and spending time with his family in Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach.
Ron will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill PA 17011 from 10 am to 11am. A memorial service will be held from 11am to 12noon with a luncheon to follow at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Ron may be made to his church.
