Sandra Gouse (Albright) Obituary

Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, & Aunt, Sandra Ruth Gouse (Albright), 77 of Enola, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family Monday, February 5, 2024. Sandra (Sandy/Mammaw) was born January 25, 1947, in Enola, Pennsylvania. Sandy was the daughter of the late William Clyde Albright Jr. & Lillian Inez Albright (Fulmer). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two Half brothers, Clyde E. Albright & Edward T. Albright.

Sandy is survived by her children, Howard T. Gouse (Teresa) of Boiling Springs, PA, Tammy I. Luta (Jim) of Wormleysburg, PA, & Tracey L. Rhome (Dan) of Marysville, PA. Sandy “Mammaw” also leaves behind 3 brothers, William C. Albright (Cindy), Randolph L. Albright (Pat) and Daniel H. Albright (Julie), 8 grandchildren, Michael C. Gouse (Whitney), Nicole M. Hostetter (Caleb), Kevin E. Ensminger, Kayla C. Meekins (Jacob), Troy D. Rhome, Amanda I. Koss (Andrew), Crystal L. Luta, & Jamesdylan Luta (Lexa) & 9 Great-Grandchildren, Javan, Aidan, Caelan, Finn, Daisy, Abel, Paislee, Adalyn, & Tucker who she absolutely adored each & everyone.  She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews & cousins. Lastly, her lifelong friend Shirley Mongold originally from Winchester, VA & many other wonderful friends that she deeply cherished & considered family.

After attending Enola & EP High School, she worked as a waitress at Naomie’s & GC Murphy’s. She was also a meat packer at Pantry Pride & then later attended West Shore Beauty Academy & became a licensed cosmetologist & state certified instructor. She worked at a few salons before becoming a hairdresser & regional manager at Regis Salon located at the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill, PA for over 10 years. She then went onto open her own salon at our family home in Enola, PA with her late beloved friend Joann Filson, (San & Jo’s) for 14 years. Finally, she worked for Internal Revenue as a supervisor for 5 years until her retirement.

Upon retiring, our mother enjoyed many things, shopping at thrift stores, yard-saling, spending time with her family, & undoubtedly her favorite role as mom or mammaw. The role that defined who she was to all of us. She would never turn down an opportunity to spend time with her family & friends.

Our mother was admired for many things, including her gentle soul, her strength, & her overcoming many battles she faced throughout her life. She was deeply loved & cherished by all that knew her. She had a smile that could light up a room. She was the most kindhearted & beautiful lady that would literally give you the shirt off her back.  Some of our mothers’ favorite things when she was younger, was riding horses, the smell of a farm & a watermelon straight out of the field.  Our mother will be deeply missed & our hearts are broken. Rest in Peace Momma, until we meet again.
