Tara Marie Plank, 31, a beautiful person whose smile lit up every room, lost her long-time battle with addiction on Sept. 6. Tara was an enthusiastic and bubbly person with an over-sized heart and a lengthy list of friends. She sang off-key, changed her hair color with regularity and treasured every moment she spent with her son, Brayden Creter. She attended Conestoga Valley schools and, on one of her proudest days, graduated from Kaplan Institute, Harrisburg, with an associate's degree in medical assistance. Tara was born in Lancaster, the daughter of Lisa Megashko and the late William R. "Lefty" Plank. In addition to her son and mother, she is survived by her sisters, Tiffany L. Plank and Tierney Yellets; brothers, William Plank Jr., Austin Yellets and Corey Doughten; and her grandmother, Nancy Eshelman. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, who loved their cheerful, funny Aunt Tara. A celebration of Tara's life will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, in a pavilion at East Lampeter Township Park, 2330 Hobson Road, Lancaster. Family will be in attendance from 1 to 4 p.m.
