Victor R. McElhattan, 86, of Enola, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home Carlisle. He was the son of the late Marvin A. and Vivian I.(Culbertson) McElhattan. Victor was a Graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and also did Graduate work at Penn State University . He was retired as the Chief Entomologist for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources. Victor was a Navy veteran during the Korean War. He was an avid Hunter, Fisherman, and who also enjoyed Tennis and Golf. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Gipe McElhattan of Enola, his children; Dana Lee Armenta of Key Largo, Florida, Todd Ian McElhattan of Pittsburgh, and Jaime Lee McElhattan of Carlisle, a Granddaughter, Harmoni Rose McElhattan of Enola, and a brother, Richard Neal McElhattan of Clairton, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ailene Rensel. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 8, 2020 In Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tree of Life Lutheran Church 1492 Linglestown Road Harrisburg, PA 17110, or the Alzheimer’s Association: Greater Pennsylvania, 9378, 2595 Interstate Dr. Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
