William H. Crandy

William H. Crandy 77 of Enola passed away Saturday July 29, 2023. William was the son of the late Carol L. and Betty J. (Heller) Crandy. Bill was an East Pennsboro graduate class of 1964 and married the love of his life Barbara A. (Kistler) Crandy in 1966 they were married for 57 years. Bill and Barbara knew each other since 7th grade. Bill was an outstanding athlete and highly competitive, he wrestled in high school and played baseball and won outstanding player of the year award.Bill worked for Local 23 Asbestos Workers from the time he graduated until he retired at 60, at the time of his retirement he had been the foreman at Bruners Island for 14 years. Bill was an avid golfer and loved seeing his team mates and loved planting flowers from seeds and gave bouquets of flowers to Barbara for every room in the house all summer. For the last 17 years Bill and Barbara traveled a lot all over the United States. Bill is survived by his wife Barbara,his sons, Mark W. (Beth) Crandy of Enola, Michael L. Crandy of Enola, brother Ronald (Barbara) Crandy of Carlisle, sisters, Darlene Noggle of Mechanicsburg, Pat Given of Harrisburg, Diane (Robert) Whitestone of Kentucky and grandson Jacob W. Crandy.Services will be held Monday August 7, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Christ Community Church 1201 Slate Hill Rd. Camp Hill pa 17011. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Burial will be held at Rolling Green Cemetery Camp Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
