William " Billy Curtis" C. Vessa

William C. "Billy Curtis" Vessa, 73 of Enola, passed away Sunday November 28, 2021, surrounded by his loving family in UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital after suffering from a long illness. Born July 30, 1948, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Nicholas D. and Dorothy C. Vessa. William was a graduate of Milton Hershey High School where he played football. Mr. Vessa was a past SAL member of the American Legion Post 984 where he served for a time as the SAL Chaplain. William was an avid singer and musician whose talents were enjoyed by many. William is survived by his wife Sharon L. Vessa, daughters Christine E. Vessa and Jennifer R. Vessa-Maluchnik, and his grandchildren, Casey M. (Jonathan) McDowell, Layla N. Vessa-Maluchnik,and Nevaeh L. Vessa, all of Enola also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother John A. Vessa and wife Lucy of Lutz, FL, and brother Nicholas C. Vessa and wife Ellen of Smithsburg, MD. A visitation will be held Sunday December 5, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM in the Richardson Funeral Home LLC, Enola.
